Le Républicain Lorrain, the regional daily of Lorraine, has published a profile of our company, featuring our president, Sarah Zanini. A chance to look back on our journey, our base in Woippy and our ambitions in France and across Europe.

Our European subsidiary, rooted in north-eastern France

Solenso Global was founded in 2019 by four investors, from France, Germany, Taiwan and China. In 2023 we chose the Metz area to set up our European subsidiary, Solenso Power, now based in Woippy.

From this site we run most of our development across the continent: R&D, product adaptation, distribution, training and technical support.

The microinverter at the heart of our range

The microinverter is our founding expertise. Designed in Europe and manufactured in the Solenso Global factory, it is the first building block of a complete ecosystem: photovoltaic panels, storage batteries developed with CALB and a Shelly EMS that shares energy between self-consumption, storage and grid export.

In France, homeowners who install the EMS benefit from a reduced VAT rate of 5.5%. Our microinverters carry a 15-year warranty (25 years with the full range) and our solar modules a 30-year warranty.

Winning over with the product, building loyalty with service

Before moving into photovoltaics, Sarah Zanini worked in the technical departments of operating theatres. There she developed a culture of rigour and service that she now passes on to the whole team.

In Woippy we train installers on the entire range, then our technicians support them during their first commissionings, until they are fully independent. Our France-based after-sales service provides remote support and, in the event of a fault, ships a replacement product within 48 hours.

“Our challenge is to become as well known as the major brands on the market.”

From Woippy to the Benelux

Our model rests on a clear choice: we do not sell to consumers, we work with professionals. Our network of distributors, who partner with installers, already covers much of France. The next step is to strengthen it and prepare our arrival in the Benelux.

Today there are ten of us in Woippy, and we could be twice as many by the end of 2027.
