Over and under voltage protection : SOLARC SCS6-N6VA2 three-phase

Over and under voltage protection

SOLARC SCS6-N6VA2 three-phase

MONITORS ALL THREE PHASES AND DISCONNECTS AT THE FIRST VOLTAGE FAULT

Supply
Three-phase 380/400 V
Faults Monitored
Voltage, current, phases
Display
6 LED displays
Accuracy
2% on voltage
  • Five faults monitored

Overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, phase imbalance and wrong phase sequence. On a reversed sequence, the display shows L1-L3-L2 and the output is disconnected.

  • All three phases in view

Six LED displays permanently show the voltage and current of L1, L2 and L3, with 2% voltage accuracy. Indicators signal overvoltage, undervoltage and overcurrent alerts.

  • Setting and reset

Thresholds set with the Set, up and down keys, 5 V hysteresis, 10 s delay on imbalance. Automatic reclosing when the voltage returns to normal, manual reset after a persistent overcurrent.

  • On DIN rail

Operating range of 120 to 300 V per phase, from 40 to 70 Hz. Three NO output contacts, 450 V insulation voltage, IP20, from -25 to +55 °C, 100,000 operations.

Frequently asked questions

Why protect an installation against over and under voltage?

A broken neutral upstream can expose some appliances to nearly 400 V and destroy them within seconds. Conversely, a voltage that is too low makes motors and compressors overheat. The relay disconnects the supply as soon as the voltage leaves the set thresholds, then restores it automatically once it is back to normal.

How is it different from a surge protector?

A surge protector diverts surges lasting a few microseconds, caused by lightning or grid switching. This relay monitors lasting voltage drifts, measured in seconds or minutes. The two devices are complementary and sit side by side in the consumer unit.
