- Type B
- Sensitivity
- 30 to 300 mA
- Ratings
- 6 to 63 A
- Poles

Two protections in one module
Thermal, magnetic and residual current releases combined: the circuit is protected against overloads, short circuits and earth leakage. Trips within 0.1 s at rated residual current, on 230/400 V 50/60 Hz networks.
Type B, for DC leakage currents
A type B residual current device detects AC, pulsating DC and smooth DC fault currents. Smooth DC currents, which some inverters, EV chargers and drives can produce, blind a type A or AC device.
Choice of ratings and sensitivities
Ratings from 6 to 63 A in B, C or D curves, sensitivities of 30, 50, 100 or 300 mA. Optional permanent overvoltage protection with a Uvo threshold of 280 V ±5%.
Certified and robust
Compliant with IEC 61009-1, CE, SEMKO, CCC and CB markings. 6 or 10 kA breaking capacity, 10,000 mechanical operations, contact position and residual fault indicator.

Frequently asked questions
When is a type B residual current device required?
As soon as a device on the circuit can produce a smooth DC fault current: an EV charger without built-in DC leakage detection, an inverter whose manufacturer requires type B, a variable speed drive or a heat pump with a controlled motor. A type A or AC device can then be blinded and fail to trip. The Solenso EV+ charger has built-in 6 mA DC detection and only needs a type A device upstream.
See the Solenso EV+ chargerRCBO or RCCB: what is the difference?
An RCCB only detects earth leakage and must be paired with circuit breakers to protect against overloads. An RCBO combines both functions in a single device per circuit: a fault only cuts the circuit concerned, while the rest of the installation stays powered.
Which sensitivity should I choose: 30 mA or 300 mA?
30 mA protects people against electric shock: it is the sensitivity used on the final circuits of a home. The 100 and 300 mA sensitivities protect against fire and sit at the head of the installation, where they provide selectivity with the 30 mA devices downstream.
